\nProject \u201cImprovement of the transport safety in the common BulgarianRomanian stretch of the Danube river through development of the emergency
\nresponse by cross-border cooperation\u201d \u2013 Danube Safety Net
\n<\/span>On the 6<\/span>th <\/span>and 7<\/span>th <\/span>of October 2022 in Ruse, Bulgaria Executive Agency \u201cMaritime Administration\u201d
\n(EAMA) and the Romanian Naval Authority will participate in the Wrap-up meeting of Project
\n\u201cImprovement of the transport safety in the common Bulgarian-Romanian stretch of the Danube
\nriver through development of the emergency response by cross-border cooperation\u201d \u2013 Danube
\nSafety Net, project code ROBG-522.
\nDuring the final event, the two Project Partners will present the achieved results and the technical
\nand financial implementation of the project, which officially ends on the 14<\/span>th <\/span>of October 2022.
\nThe results from the implementation of the Danube Safety Net Project include:
\n<\/span>\uf0fc <\/span>Established Emergency Response Centers in Ruse, Lom and Constanta<\/span>;
\n<\/span>\uf0fc <\/span>Supplied, developed and integrated Danube Transport Safety Geographic Information System
\n(DTSGIS);
\n<\/span>\uf0fc <\/span>Delivered to EAMA two multipurpose non-self-propelled crafts (barges);
\n<\/span>\uf0fc <\/span>Delivered to RNA two multipurpose vessels;
\n<\/span>\uf0fc <\/span>Prepared Common Action Plan for Joint Emergency and Rescue Operations Between
\nExecutive Agency \u201cMaritime Administration\u201d and the Romanian Naval Authority in the
\nCommon Bulgarian-Romanian Stretch of the Danube River.
\n<\/span>From 11:00 a.m. on the 7<\/span>th <\/span>of October 2022, at the premises of EAMA\u2019s Directorate \u201cRiver
\nSupervision \u2013 Ruse\u201d, address: \u211620, \u201cPristanishtna\u201d Str., Ruse, Bulgaria, media representatives
\nare invited to address their questions about the project to the project implementation teams
\nof the two Partners.

\n<\/span>Project \u201cImprovement of the transport safety in the common Bulgarian-Romanian stretch of the
\nDanube river through development of the emergency response by cross-border cooperation\u201d \u2013
\nDanube Safety Net, project code ROBG-522 is implemented under the INTERREG V-A RomaniaBulgaria Programme 2014-2020 and its overall objective is to improve the safety of river Danube
\nnavigability for the whole length of the common stretch between Romania and Bulgaria.
\nLead Partner in the project is Executive Agency \u201cMaritime Administration\u201d and the Project Partner
\nis the Romanian Naval Authority.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nregion by finding joint solutions for the improvement of safety of navigation on the Danube River.
\nIt represents a good example of an effective cooperation, directed to the achievement of the
\nnational and European priorities in the field of the river transport and contributes to a more
\nprepared, reliable and resilient in terms of navigation safety region.
\nThe overall budget of the project is 5 699 612,87 euro, out of which 85% funded by the European
\nUnion through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and 15 % are national co-financing.<\/span><\/p>\n
